A four-column (4-post) structure stamping Hydraulic Press is a heavy-duty industrial machine featuring a rigid three-beam/four-column frame, powered by a hydraulic system to perform high-precision stamping, deep drawing, bending, and forming operations on metal and non-metal materials. It is widely used in automotive, aerospace, household appliance, and sheet metal processing industries due to its excellent load-bearing stability and parallelism control.
Core Structure & Components
Frame System: Classic three-beam (top crown, moving ram/slider, fixed worktable)+four vertical columns (chrome-plated, high-tensile steel, locked by large nuts). The columns provide precise guidance via self-lubricating bronze/graphite bushings, ensuring minimal deflection under heavy tonnage.
Hydraulic System: Main cylinder (typically mounted on the crown), hydraulic power unit (oil tank, high-pressure pump, motor, valves), optional bottom cushion cylinder/knock-out for part ejection.
Control System: PLC+touch screen, with multi-stage speed control (fast approach, slow pressing, fast return), pressure/position dual closed-loop control, and safety interlocks (light curtains, emergency stops).
Safety & Auxiliary: Protective mesh, overload protection, die clamping, T-slot worktable, and optional heating/cooling systems.
Working Principle
The electric system starts the hydraulic pump to build up pressure.
The slider (ram) moves down quickly to approach the workpiece.
Switches to slow, high-pressure stamping/forming when in contact with the material.
Holds pressure for a set time (if needed) to ensure shape retention.
The slider retracts rapidly, and the cushion cylinder ejects the finished part.
